Perennial in zone 10, non native herb - African Blue Basil (Ocimum basilicum)

We are zone 8, so if you want to keep this beautiful herb alive through the winter, it will need to be potted up to bring inside through the cold months, or take cuttings at the end of the season. Performs well in containers and pots during regular growing season as well.

Leaves and flowers be used as an edible herb, or can be used as a landscaping in your flower beds. Can be a great foliage for floral arrangements! BEES LOVE THIS PLANT!!!

This is an offering that we DID NOT start from seed, as African Basil can only be propagated from cuttings. We purchased these plants in for the farm from North Carolina Farms.
